The Monastery of "Unser Lieben Frauen" in Magdeburg is the starting point and connection point between the northern and southern route in Sachsen-Anhalt.
The opening of the Straße der Romanik by the former federal president Richard von Weizsacker took place here in May 1993. The road has 60 sites with 72 monuments from the Roman era.
