History

The golf course Schloss Meisdorf was opened in 1997. It was designed by engineer Dipl.-Ing. Gerd Olaf Osterkamp and implemented by the Golf & Sports facilities Brehmer Kooispra. The first 18-hole golf course was built in Sachsen-Anhalt, on behalf of the Ferdinand Lentjes foundation.

The golf course Schloss Meisdorf & the castle hotel in the Harz, were taken over by the Dutch family company Van der Valk, in summer 2001.
